Understanding Depression
Workshop Details
Depression is a serious mental health concern that will touch most people’s lives at some point in their lifetime – either directly or through someone close they know. By 1997, the World Health Organisation considered that depression was the single greatest cause of disability in the world.
Managing depression can be a tricky challenge given the chronic and recurrent nature of the problem. This means that in the long run, depression can continue to blight relationships and quality of life not only of the individual, but also of the people they live with.
